The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards - Auld Lang Syne
Description
The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards have served in all major theatres of war during the past two centuries and are a first class cavalry unit in their own right running tanks presently from their base in Northern Germany.
The Pipes and Drums of The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards have their origin in the pipe band that came to the Royal Scots Greys in 1946. Military piping originated in the eighteenth century as a way of inspiring troops and instilling confidence before battle. It was also effective for recruiting new soldiers.
